Livestock for Sale
Spring 2024, I am offering a variety of sheep options and registered A2A2 jersey calves.
Lambs and kids are vaccinated at four and eight weeks, which should be boosted annually thereafter. Ewes are vaccinated annually. For 2024, I am not milking so any bottle babies are given species-specific formula until weaning age of eight weeks, sometimes a little longer. They have access to creep feed, hay, and grazing. Ewes are not dewormed this spring, so there is no milk withholding. All animals are not on any medicated feed and are healthy unless specifically noted otherwise.

Pre-Order June Pick-Up: 2024 Registered A2A2 Jersey Heifer Calves
I am taking pre-orders for people interested in A2A2 Jersey heifer calves that I will be picking up the end of June, possibly the beginning of July.
These heifer calves are from a Jersey dairy in Tillamook County, Oregon and have had genetic testing to confirm their beta-casein profile (A2A2). A copy of the results of the genetic testing are provided at purchase. The registration is delivered after purchase to provide time for the dairy and registry to process the paperwork. The herd is a grade A dairy and tested free of tuberculosis and brucellosis; all dams are bangs vaccinated. None are polled (genetically hornless), but they have all been disbudded (should not grown horns). All are GIRLS / HEIFERS - no bulls or steers. Calves need to be bottle fed until eight weeks old. They were raised on jersey milk while at the dairy, then transitioned to Country Companion calf formula available at North 40 in Coeur d'Alene.
Prices: $950 - $1,000 depending on age
I AM ONLY ACCEPTING CALF PRE-ORDERS THROUGH A SHORT QUESIONNAIRE HERE: www.surveymonkey.com/r/5FB5KBQ
I will then be able to email you updates about the June order as they develop. It will be after the June 15/16th weekend. The dairy is only DNA testing every three weeks, and I should pickup the first group after that date when the results are available. I am unsure of how many and what ages are available right now.

2024 Ram Lambs
SOLD OUT FOR 2024
Coming soon: stud service (probably fall 2024).
I will be maintaining a group of rams and bucks larger than I need for my flock as I have had a lot of people contact me for studs or ask for breeding options when purchasing females. This service will be offered on my homestead. The current plan is that the owner of does/ewes may pay per head to have them bred to my males and may leave them here for a period of time for this purpose (in a pen separate from my herd/flock). This eliminates the need to maintain a stud year-round for many homesteaders, find new studs every year or two, and provides high-quality breeding options. I often travel quite a distance to acquire studs, and this also justifies me keeping more studs for my own flock's genetic diversity. I will select studs I use for breeding with excellent dairy qualities, and each stud will have a profile and schedule. This service will only be available for clean, healthy, vaccinated females. I reserve the right to refuse any breeding request. Studs will not be available for use off of my premises.
