Ewes & Ewe Lambs
Dairy Ewe Bred to Purebred EF Ram ($750)
FALL 2026 ONLY
High percentage East Friesian (EFX) dairy sheep born 2023-2026.
Ewes are white, black, or piebald.
Milking records are not available – haven’t been consistently milked.
Bred back to an imported purebred East Friesian ram from top performing North American dairy lines.
- Pregnancy tests not performed, we rely on monitoring sheep for when they are marked by the ram wearing a marking vest.
- We will then wait another 14-19 days for repeat estrous cycle to see if she is marked (bred) again.
- Lambing will start mid-March 2027.
Ewes must be picked up by December 15, 2026, can definitely be picked up sooner.

Purebred East Friesian Ewes ($1,200)
Born to imported purebred East Friesians parents. All parents are from the best lines for dairy performance and breed conformation.
Parentage and scrapie resistance verified by DNA testing.
Registered with Arcadian East Friesian Registry, microchipped.
If you plan to show the ewe or would like to have her especially tamed by bottle feeding, she may be picked up in the spring. Otherwise, lambs are bottle-fed and raised in a flock.
Purchasers must participate in the USDA scrapie program.
First lambs will be available in VERY LIMITED quantities starting spring and summer 2027. Preference is given to buyers seeking to maintain a purebred registered flock and/or show their ewes.

Rams
Shawn ($800)
2024 Shawn Rosaliesson (twin)
DOB: 28 February 2024
Breed: unverified high percentage East Friesian with the rat tail + ~9.375% Lacaune
Shawn was dam raised by his mother who produced over a quart per side per spot milking while lamb sharing. She has been my top producer for the last three years (only spot milking). His maternal granddam came from a commercial dairy in Washington, though I don’t know which one. She was also a heavy producer. Both dam and maternal granddam had large well-attached udders with large teats that would be ideal if hand milking.
His sire came from a commercial dairy in Montana where his dam was the dairy’s top producing ewe. I don’t know too much about his paternal sire other than he came from back east from a top producing commercial line that had been crossed with imported Lacaune semen.
Even though he was dam-raised and not handled a lot as a lamb, he is easy to handle – not skittish. He is large and alpha of the three rams. As he has a little Lacaune in him, I do not trust to turn my back to him, especially when he’s in rut, but I have never been hit by him.

2024 Sé Geráld Katiesson (triplet)
DOB: 1 March 2024
Breed: unverified high percentage East Friesian from 100% Karras Farm stock
I purchased this ram from a homestead in Creswell, Oregon and their foundation sheep all came from Karras Farm. His dam Katie was their top producing ewe who I am told had large teats and very easy to hand milk. His sire was Rocky, a black high percentage East Friesian. He was dam-raised and is leary of too much human interaction. He has never been aggressive to humans and would rather keep his distance. He’s on the smaller side of average if you are looking to keep smaller sheep. It’s still too early to know how is daughters perform.

Breed: unverified high percentage East Friesian from 100% Karras Farm stock
I purchased this ram from a homestead in Creswell, Oregon and their foundation sheep all came from Karras Farm. His dam Dede was a first freshener, rejected him, and he was bottle raised. His sire was Rocky, a black high percentage East Friesian. Seamus is a gentle big guy, has never been aggressive or rammed humans. Very easy to handle. He is a favorite because of his nice personality and is a nice-looking ram. It’s still too early to know how is daughter perform.
